The chubby quagga ran from the big cat with teeth.
Which is the same thing as saying
The chubby quagga feared for his life
Which is the same thing as saying
The chubby quagga loved his life
Which is a similar thing to saying:
There is a simple lesson to be learned from the chubby quagga,
May he rest in peace.
She decorated his lacerated neck with a crude garland of flowers and sat quiet for days. Ate little. Pooped more. What you might call a cleanse.
You might, you know.


About the Author

Marta Rainer has performed her Unaccustomed to My Name Off-Broadway, across America and internationally since 2001. Her Radio Cape Cod (feature screenplay) debuted on PBS last Valentine’s Day. Favorite theatre collaborators: Second-City founder Paul Sills, Moscow Art Theatre director Slava Dolgachev, and the award-winning New York Neo-Futurists (founding ensemble member). Marta has taught acting and/or playwriting at New Actors Workshop, New York Film Academy, New Voices for the Theatre Festival (Playwright-in-Residence, 2010), as well as at her old alma mater, Wellesley College. She is currently based in Richmond, VA, where the Theatre Critics Circle named her Best Supporting Actress of 2009.
